There’s a trellis in my garden where the tomatoes never climb in a straight line. They twist, lean, wander—and still, they fruit. That’s something I’ve come to accept in both gardening and homeschooling (and even in our own self-development): the path to growth is rarely linear. And perhaps that’s why this space exists.

My name is Kim Prieto, and I’m a homeschooling mom, literature teacher, curriculum creator, and lifelong student of people and ideas. I’ve walked away from teaching in public schools and following boxed curriculums, tiptoed into my own path, and wrestled with parenting questions that don’t come with easy answers. What you’ll find here isn’t perfection. It’s presence. It’s practice. It’s the quiet but persistent work of cultivating a life of meaning, beauty, and truth—no matter where you’re starting (or restarting) from.
